I first tried racing at the early age of 8, at a go-kart event that my brother was racing in. With my helmet bearing an electrical tape “X” to signify my rookie status, I was off to the races. The first event quickly ended with a fried clutch because my right foot was saying “GO!” and my left foot was saying “NO!”. My second attempt, at the following event, ended with a nudge from a faster driver which sent me spinning out of control, at which time I effectively lost all interest in going fast, ever!

The need for speed quickly returned when I got my drivers license, and purchased a 1970 ½ Camaro. Since then, I have owned many performance oriented vehicles, some of my personal favorites being…

...a 1984 Dodge Colt Turbo personally modified to produce 15 LBS of boost.

...a 1994 Dodge Dakota, daily driven but capable of 9.0 second 1/8 miles.

...a 2001 Mazda Miata

...a 2004 Impala SS, supercharged but stock.

...a 2003 Infinity FX35, AWD and WAY more sport than utility.

...a 1984 Corvette with the Z51 suspension package.

...a 1998 Kawasaki ZX11.

My garage currently houses a 1988 Corvette, a 1999 Suzuki TL1000R, and my wife's 2001 Honda CBR600F4i.

After my father acquired the 1992 Corvette , that is now lovingly known as “The Moose”, the Warp Speed Racing saga began. We, as a team, with the help of the MarineSource Network, have slowly resurrected a 100,000 mile plus, severely abused car, and created a B-Street Prepared competition car.

I have been competitively racing in the NCCC and SCCA since early 2003, and have developed a true love for the sport. In 2006, we began concentrating on our SCCA points standings with hopes of participating at a national level and possibly moving into higher speed events.
